FLORIDA SOCIETY OF PATHOLOGY 2008 CONFERENCE BREAKS ATTENDANCE RECORD!!
First, thanks to all of you who attended the FSP 34th Annual Anatomic Pathology Conference held last February at the Disney Contemporary Resort, Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida. It was a major success, breaking the previous attendance record. The analysis of those all-important evaluation forms has been concluded and results provide a 98% approval rating; a clinical relevance 97% approval; speaker quality received a 97% approval rating.

The weather cooperated and provided a wonderful break especially for those of us from the snowy northern states. Lounging around the pool or enjoying the Disney theme parks became the popular afternoon event. The networking reception in our Exhibit Hall provided an excellent opportunity to relax, catch up with colleagues while enjoying speaking to our partners about the latest in technology and services to our profession.

The Conference Planning Committee had the opportunity to talk to a great number of attendees and appreciated your thoughts and suggestions. Planning is already well underway for the 2009 35th Annual Meeting; be sure to mark your calendars for February 12 – 15th. We will again be right on the Disney monorail with the Magic Kingdom Park as the backdrop of the Contemporary Resort. The hotel has opened our block so you can reserve your sleeping rooms now. Be sure to go on-line and view the property, it is quite impressive. And keep checking in at the Florida Society of Pathologists website, www.flpath.org, for conference updates; as we get closer we will be sending e-news blasts to our membership as well. Let your colleagues out-of-state know of the benefits of being in Florida in February, combining CME with a family vacation!
